Remember Sonographers have one major disadvantage , they do not have our medical knowledge and I have so many patients where my sonographer can show technically beautiful images but with the history, physical examination and scan itself tailored to the patient the real problem is identifed. As CLINICAL radiologists the reason we teachers of this courses get referrals is that we can solve the problem not just issue a report. Many times, the radiologists want to take pictures of the perfect technique but remember patients are not perfect and we can do a shoulder scan even if the patient is unable to move the arms into the standard position because we have learned the anatomy so well with the MRI-Ultrasound correlation.
